Yuhan’s research focusing on human immunology, cancer biology, bioinformatics and statistics. She has been R based and experienced in data collection, data manipulation, statistical analysis and graphic design. Yuhan would like to understand how to apply key research topics commercially.
Application of Research to Industry
- Proficient in R language and data manipulation/statistical analysis/figure plotting and editing. I am currently fully R based to study human cancer immunology pathways by computational methods and have three (one in progress) relevant publications.
- Willingness to learn new approaches to solving problems in a team environment and overcome adversity.
- Outstanding data collection skills. My current PhD research relies on resources and various datasets. Thus, I acquired outstanding data collection skills which allows me to sort out appropriate materials quickly and efficiently.
- Solid background of Biomedical Science knowledge, especially human immunology. I have been majoring in Biology/Biomedical for most of my academic career, which I believe that will help me understand this program further and offer more insights.
- Good personal network. I joined the 2017 InSPIRE Program held in Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research (WEHI) and became a member of the WEHI alumni. I have also helped promote the cooperation of WEHI and The Peter Doherty Institute for Infection and Immunity (PDI) for the InSPIRE program this year.
