APR.Intern is supported by the Australian Government Department of Education, Skills and Employment, through the ‘Supporting more women in STEM careers: Australian Mathematical Sciences Institute (AMSI) – National Research Internships Program’. An Australian Government 90% rebate is now available to businesses that place a domestic PhD intern.

A partnership between APR.Intern and NSW’s Defence Innovation Network (DIN) will provide 30 Defence businesses with a $10,000 APR.Intern subsidy to fast-track R&D. This can be combined with the Australian Government rebate.

APR.Intern’s partnership with WA’s Defence Science Centre (DSC) will accelerate local Defence innovation. Under the agreement, DSC will provide eligible Defence SMEs with a $10,000 APR.Intern subsidy. This can be combined with the Australian Government rebate.

A partnership between APR.Intern and VIC’s Defence Science Institute (DSI) will provide eligible Defence businesses with a $10,000 APR.Intern subsidy to help tackle research challenges. This can be combined with the Australian Government rebate.

Please note; all DSI subsidies have now been used as at August 2020. VIC-based Defence businesses can still access the Australian Government 90% rebate. 

A partnership between APR.Intern and Food Innovation Australia Limited (FIAL) will accelerate STEM PhD research talent into food and agriculture businesses. Under the agreement, FIAL will provide eligible businesses with an APR.Intern subsidy of up to $4,000. This can be combined with the Australian Government rebate.

A partnership between APR.Intern and the Innovative Manufacturing Cooperative Research Centre (IMCRC) will put new technologies, business models and digitalisation in reach of Australian manufacturers. Under the agreement, IMCRC will provide eligible businesses with up to $10,000 in funding support. This can be combined with the Australian Government rebate.

A partnership between APR.Intern and MedTech and Pharma Growth Centre (MTPConnect) will increase workforce capabilities and strengthen research translation within Australia’s medtech, biotech and pharmaceutical sector. Businesses within the sector can access a $10,000 APR.Intern subsidy. This can be combined with the Australian Government rebate.
