A partnership between APR.Intern and WA’s Defence Science Centre (DSC) will accelerate Defence innovation by providing local businesses with access to specialist research expertise.
Focused on engaging Defence SMEs, DSC will provide eligible businesses with a $10,000 APR.Intern subsidy. APR.Intern’s short-term PhD student placements enable businesses to connect with Australia’s brightest emerging research talent; an opportunity to fill a skills gap and accelerate projects. For universities, APR.Intern streamlines pathways for PhD students to be industry-literate and career-ready.
When combined with APR.Intern’s Australian Government 50% rebate, the DSC subsidy brings down the cost of a full-time 3-month PhD research placement to just $5,000
These internships will be delivered under the Australian Government’s ‘Supporting more women in STEM careers: Australian Mathematical Sciences Institute (AMSI)—National Research Internship Program (NRIP)’.
