A partnership between APR.Intern and the Defence Science Institute (DSI) will provide financial support to VIC-based businesses servicing the Defence sector, and deliver a cost effective solution to tackle R&D.
Under the agreement, DSI will provide eligible businesses with a $10,000 APR.Intern subsidy. Businesses can utilise this to access academic expertise through APR.Intern’s short-term PhD student research placements, fill a skills gap and fast-track projects.
When combined with APR.Intern’s Australian Government 50% rebate, the DSI subsidy brings down the cost of a full-time 3-month PhD research placement to just $5,000
These internships will contribute to placements delivered under the Australian Government’s ‘Supporting more women in STEM careers: Australian Mathematical Sciences Institute (AMSI)—National Research Internship Program (NRIP)’.
Please note; all DSI subsidies have now been used as at August 2020. VIC-based Defence businesses can still access the Australian Government 50% rebate.
