Rhys is interested in microbes, and how they can be used within engineering contexts to manage waste, recover resources, and produce useful things!
He has extensive experience in metabolic and plantwide modelling of water and wastewater processes, bioinformatic analysis of shotgun metagenomic sequencing data, and how an understanding of microbial metabolism can inform microbial ecology and treatment plant performance. Rhys is excited by any opportunity to diversify his skillset or apply them in new contexts.
