I am PhD researcher at Curtin University. My research is focused on the development of a green binder system by environmentally friendly incorporation of industrial waste products in geopolymer concrete. My skills are in investigating the microstructural properties of construction binders by SEM/EDS, XRD, FTIR, EBSD. I can develop mix design of concrete, geopolymer, and can test them for various mechanical and durability testing. I would like to avail an opportunity to make a good application of research commercially.

Application of Research to Industry

My research is based on developing construction material which has wide range of application in construction industry. In construction industry, I can make the mix design of concretes that can be used for various applications such as underwater concrete, cold weather, hot-weather concrete, high early strength concrete, and rapid hardening concrete. I have also experience of doing concrete structural designs. .

Key Skills

My technical expertise are as follows:

  1. I have expertise in development of mix design of as underwater concrete, cold weather, hotweather concrete, high early strength concrete, and rapid hardending concrete.
  2. Expertise in analyzing the properties of Conventional, Self-compacting, self-healing concrete,
geopolymer and Foam concrete containing supplementary cementitious materials/silica rich
    agricultural waste ashes.
  3. Can test and analyze specimens for Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Energy Dispersive
Spectroscopy (EDS), X-ray Diffraction (XRD), Rietveld quantitative analysis.
  4. Non-destructive testing, and mechanical/durability testing of concrete.
  5. Have expertise in chemical treatment such as leaching using acids and various other chemicals
    (leaching efficiency).
  6. Microstructural mineral characterization to determine its chemistry, crystallography and
microstructure. Micro-characterization includes but not limited to Scanning Electron
Microscopy/Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy, TESCAN Integrated Mineral Analyzer
(TIMA), X-ray diffraction (XRD), X-ray fluorescence, Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy,
Spectrophotometry, Laser-diffraction particle distribution, and Fourier Transform Infrared
    Spectroscopy.

Soft skills include:

  1. Adoptive to use software such as drafting and design softwares such as Autodesk autocad, Autodesk Revit.
  2. Can convince someone swiftly by rational arguments
  3. Good communication skills, interpersonal chemistry, time management, and leadership
