I am PhD researcher at Curtin University. My research is focused on the development of a green binder system by environmentally friendly incorporation of industrial waste products in geopolymer concrete. My skills are in investigating the microstructural properties of construction binders by SEM/EDS, XRD, FTIR, EBSD. I can develop mix design of concrete, geopolymer, and can test them for various mechanical and durability testing. I would like to avail an opportunity to make a good application of research commercially.
Application of Research to Industry
My research is based on developing construction material which has wide range of application in construction industry. In construction industry, I can make the mix design of concretes that can be used for various applications such as underwater concrete, cold weather, hot-weather concrete, high early strength concrete, and rapid hardening concrete. I have also experience of doing concrete structural designs. .
Key Skills
My technical expertise are as follows:
- I have expertise in development of mix design of as underwater concrete, cold weather, hotweather concrete, high early strength concrete, and rapid hardending concrete.
- Expertise in analyzing the properties of Conventional, Self-compacting, self-healing concrete,
geopolymer and Foam concrete containing supplementary cementitious materials/silica rich
agricultural waste ashes. - Can test and analyze specimens for Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Energy Dispersive
Spectroscopy (EDS), X-ray Diffraction (XRD), Rietveld quantitative analysis. - Non-destructive testing, and mechanical/durability testing of concrete.
- Have expertise in chemical treatment such as leaching using acids and various other chemicals
(leaching efficiency). - Microstructural mineral characterization to determine its chemistry, crystallography and
microstructure. Micro-characterization includes but not limited to Scanning Electron
Microscopy/Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy, TESCAN Integrated Mineral Analyzer
(TIMA), X-ray diffraction (XRD), X-ray fluorescence, Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy,
Spectrophotometry, Laser-diffraction particle distribution, and Fourier Transform Infrared
Spectroscopy.
Soft skills include:
- Adoptive to use software such as drafting and design softwares such as Autodesk autocad, Autodesk Revit.
- Can convince someone swiftly by rational arguments
- Good communication skills, interpersonal chemistry, time management, and leadership
