Lanka has foundational science knowledge in chemistry, physics, mathematics, biology and biochemistry. His research speciality is medicinal plants, knowing how invaluable plants are in drug development.
Lanka’s PhD is on the Phytochemical and Pharmacological Profiling of Australian-grown Vernonia Amygdalina Delile (Asteraceae), an African Aboriginal Plant, with Focus on its Anti-diabetic and Anti-dyslipidemic Properties.
