NSW Space Research Network (SRN) has partnered with APR.Intern to deliver 10 Internships per year with SRN providing a $12,000 subsidy for Industry Partners to each internship.

PROJECT COSTS

NSW Space Research Network

NSW SRN agreed for APR Intern to take over delivery of the 10 Internships per year with SRN funding 10 Industry Partner Subsidies $12,000 for any of the 3-5 month SRN internships.

Subsidised internship costs:

  • 3-month internship – normally $20,000; now $8,000 after subsidy
  • 4-month internship – normally $23,000; now $11,000 after subsidy
  • 5-month internship – normally $26,000; now $14,000 after subsidy

The subsidy is available to both new and existing APR.Intern and SRN Space Industry Partners, one per calendar year – all relevant businesses are encouraged to apply.

COMBINE WITH OTHER SUBSIDIES

NSW Space Research Network

The SRN Subsidy can also be combined with APR.Intern’s new Women in STEM $7,500 subsidy if the business engages a female postgraduate research student intern enrolled in STEM. Combined, these subsidies lower the cost of a 3-month project to $500. Please note that all subsidies are limited in quantity.

3-month project:

  • Full project cost – $20,000; now $12,000 after SRN subsidy

  • Australian Government Women in STEM Subsidy (WiSE) – $7,500; now $500 after SRN subsidy

Net Cost to Industry Partner

  • 4-month internship: $23K full project cost – $3.5K with SRN + Women in STEM subsidies
  • 5-month internship: $26K full project cost – $6.5K with SRN + Women in STEM subsidies

The subsidy is available to both new and existing APR.Intern and SRN Space Industry Partners, one per calendar year – all relevant businesses are encouraged to apply.

STUDENT ELIGIBILITY

To be eligible you must be a student from an SRN Member University.

These include:

    • University of Sydney
    • University of Technology Sydney
    • University of Western Sydney
    • Macquarie University
    • University of New South Wales
    • University of Newcastle
    • University of Wollongong
    • Australian National University

Each research project be approved by the SRN to ensure that it is Space-related.

Each student attend a 3-5 month internship unless otherwise agreed.
