“…work-readiness of our PhD students, and the links between industry engagement and national productivity, are critically important matters for this country…The APR.Intern program is one such shining example.”  Prof. Ian Chubb, Chief Scientist of Australia (2013)

APR.Intern is now entering an exciting new phase. During 2013 we have been increasing our attention on external partnerships within universities, research organisations and peak industry bodies to drive innovation within Australian enterprise. Speaking at Accelerate Australia in February Dr Arvind Gupta, CEO & Scientific Director of Mitacs, a Canadian organisation which places more than 2000 interns into industry each year, explained the intern program is a  “switch that connects industry and universities together for research collaborations”. Watch speech…

Prof. Ian Chubb highlighted “…there are 3 researchers in business per 1000 workers compared with Canada which is 7. Australia has 60% more PhD Graduates than Canada.”

The APR.Intern program provides the necessary link between universities and business, placing PhD interns across all industry sectors throughout Australia.

We understand business needs, our new funding models cater for all sizes:
