Canaan’s research interests include phonetics, language variation and change, sociolinguistics, and language use in multilingual and multiethnic contexts. She is proficient in R and Python, with experience applying advanced statistical models (e.g. GAMMs, LMMs), and trained in AI and large language models. A fluent speaker of multiple languages, Canaan seeks to contribute her analytical and linguistic expertise in an interdisciplinary internship environment.
