Oluwafemi’s research interests include structural mechanics, failure analysis and aircraft repair. His PhD develops hybrid repair methods for aircraft composite structures, combining numerical simulation with hands-on composite repair experiments. He is skilled in structural design and analysis using Abaqus, CATIA and Matlab, and is keen to apply his research to an industry problem and gain Australian engineering experience. He is pursuing this internship specifically to gain Australian industry experience and apply his research to a commercial problem. He is enrolled full-time in his PhD, has not previously undertaken an internship, and is available for a 3–5 month placement on-site in Melbourne or remote, and open to interstate. He would welcome a broad range of structural, composites, defence or advanced-materials projects.
