Alex Jiǎng is a PhD candidate in Computer Science at RMIT. His thesis, Improving Token Efficiency by Compression, measures what AI systems really cost and provides statistical guarantees on when those savings are safe. He pairs rigorous quantitative analysis with stakeholder consultation, and he wants to apply these skills to an evidence-based volunteer workforce strategy.
