Gary Hogan joined the Australian Mathematical Sciences Institute in 2018 as Executive Director of its national PhD internship program, APR.Intern. He is responsible for leading stakeholder engagement and corporate relations with government, universities and industry partners.

Gary has held executive and advisory positions at KPMG, RMIT, UNSW and the Victorian Government and is currently an Enterprise Professor at the University of Melbourne. He is passionate about APR.Intern’s ambition to transform the futures and career trajectories of STEM PhD students across Australia, not to mention the innovation dividends that will be delivered to the Program’s industry partners.

Anna-Maria has over 20 years’ experience in the science sector and is an experienced Chief Executive.

She currently leads the Australian Academy of Science, an independent not for profit organisation that provides authoritative and influential scientific advice, represents Australia on key international scientific bodies, builds public awareness and understanding of science, and champions and supports excellence in Australian science. In this role, Anna-Maria has led significant reform in global science engagement, in science policy matters; and in addressing gender equity in science.

Starting her career as a neuroscientist, Anna-Maria undertook medical research in Australia and abroad, before applying her skills to policy development both in the Australian public service and in politics where she has provided policy advice across many social and economic portfolios.

She has held several senior executive positions in the science sector as CEO of Science  and Technology Australia and Deputy Director at Questacon. In these roles, Anna-Maria has worked extensively with parliamentarians, the business and community sectors, and the media.

Dr Catriona Wallace has been recognised by the Australian Financial Review as the Most Influential Woman in Business & Entrepreneurship (2018). She has also achieved Advance Australia’s highest award in Technology & Innovation for Australians working abroad and recently won the FinTech Leader and Overall Excellence in Finance award by Women in Finance (2018). Catriona has been named among the Top 9 Female Entrepreneurs by the Sydney Morning Herald and Top 30 Woman redefining business by Womens’ Agenda.

Based in the US and Australia, Catriona is the Founder and Executive Director of Artificial Intelligence FinTech and ASX Listed company (ASX:FGO) Flamingo Ai, provider of Machine Learning based Cognitive Virtual Assistant technologies. Flamingo Ai is the second only woman led (CEO & Chair) business ever to list on the Australian Stock Exchange.

Catriona has a PhD in Organizational Behaviour: Human Technology Interaction and is a well published author and commentator. Catriona is one of the world’s most cited experts on the Artificial Intelligence, Customer Experience, Ethics & Human Rights in technology and Women in Leadership.

Andrew Stevens is the Chairman of the Board of Innovation and Science Australia, an independent statutory board with a mandate to provide strategic, whole of government advice on science, research and innovation matters.

He is also Chairman of the Data Standards Body for the Consumer Data Right implementation in Australia. He is a Director of Stockland Group Limited, Thorn Group Limited, the Greater Western Sydney GIANTS and CEDA.

He is a member of the Advisory Executive of the UNSW School of Business, and the Male Champions of Change, a group of CEOs and Directors working to make gender equality a reality.
