Unlock your potential at the upcoming 2026 Women in STEM Masterclass. Industry Ready: Crafting Career Pathways for STEM Women, hosted by the Australian Mathematical Sciences Institute. This exclusive event will take place on Tuesday 21 April at the Melbourne Business School, Carlton.
Designed for women STEM researchers, this masterclass offers a unique opportunity to delve into Australia’s research commercialisation and innovation ecosystem. Gain insights directly from industry and university experts in research innovation, and hear success stories from researchers who have transitioned into leading roles in start-ups or R&D teams.
If you are a STEM research student or an early to mid-career researcher, this masterclass is tailored for you. We especially encourage those who have participated in an APR Internship, funded by APR’s WiSE program, to take advantage of available sponsorships covering accommodation and travel expenses.
Equip participants with the confidence, networks and practical strategies needed to transition successfully from academia to industry.

Getting To The Masterclass
The WiSE Masterclass will be held at Lecture Theatre 3 (LT3), Melbourne Business School, located at 200 Leicester Street, Carlton VIC 3053.
Melbourne Business School is easily accessible by public transport. The closest train station is Parkville Station (Metro Tunnel), just a short walk from the venue. The precinct is also well serviced by trams along Swanston Street (routes 1, 3, 5, 6, 16, 64, 67 and 72).
Limited paid parking is available nearby, including at the University Square Car Park and surrounding streets. We recommend allowing extra time if you plan to drive.
Clear signage will be in place on the day to guide you to Lecture Theatre 3 (LT3) upon arrival.
