The PhD candidate Claudia H Giraldo E from the University of Melbourne is studying the distribution and fruiting cycles of Brown and Desert Stringybark, vital foraging resources of the endangered South-eastern Red-tailed Black-cockatoo. Her study will guide land management for preserving the cockatoo by understanding the reproductive rhythms of the essential stringybarks and their responses to climate variability and change.
