He is passionate about understanding engineering principles and applied technologies in underrepresented and vulnerable communities in the context of disasters and natural hazards.

Dr. Peyman E. F. Barzegar is trained in veterinary medicine, and is passionate about conducting some research on laboratory animals using biomaterials, especially by using surgey.

Amanda is a PhD student studying non-aqueous carbon capacitors at the University of Newcastle Callaghan. She started working in this area in 2015 and has contributed to and published 9 research papers so far. She is very experienced in electrochemical techniques such as CV, SPECS, EIS and GV. She is interested in taking part in a 3 month industrial internship to improve her industrial experience, but it is also mandatory for her PhD scholarship.

Hossein is a Metallurgical Engineer with expertise in the extraction, separation, and purification of metals from primary and secondary sources, as well as pyrometallurgical and hydrometallurgical processes. He thrives on innovating sustainable techniques and optimizing processes for cleaner, more efficient, and sustainable production. After 12 years in academia, including 7 years of research experience, Hossein aims to pursue an internship in the industry and blend his academic and industrial experiences to gain real-world insights for future roles in the industry.

Amin's interests include optimization using either operations research tools or machine learning. He is also skilled in machine learning, algorithm design, and artificial intelligence and has extensive experience using Python, T-SQL, MATLAB, and Linux shell scripting.

Renee Piccolo has a Bachelor's in Ecology (Honours) and ongoing Ph.D. research specialising in spatial modelling for restoration feasibility. Renee is passionate about incorporating social perspectives and governance factors into environmental planning. Her skills include advanced levels of data management including systematic literature reviews and data analysis using excel, R and GIS. She seeks the internship to apply her problem-solving and project management skills in complex, multidisciplinary projects with diverse stakeholders.

Priyambada is a PhD Candidate at Federation University, Australia. With diverse background in socio-economic research, food system, agri-economic research, project development and management, and valuable experience in working on development projects in South Asia and Africa, she is enthusiastic about contributing her expertise to the suitable organization in Australia.
