RESEARCH TO BE CONDUCTED

Worley is seeking independent analysis associated with the threats and opportunities of Worley’s activities globally.  This data will be used to support Worley’s enterprise risk management.

Worley is uniquely positioned in a changing marketplace and world with rapid developments evolving from a technology and climate change perspective. These forces along with others will change the way that Worley operates and the way that Worley’s people work. This research will assist to bring independent thinking towards Worley’s current and future state.

RESEARCH OUTCOMES

Expected outcome will be a report, including executive summary, which clearly sets out what good current looks like and what may be possible in the future.  The report will clearly and succinctly describe the approach and methodology underpinning the findings, as well as recommendations. A presentation/s of the outcomes will be expected to key stakeholders

Accompanying the report will be a succinct slide deck which presents the findings at suitable level of detail for Senior Executives and the Worley Board.

Throughout the course of the engagement Worley will expect clear guidance on the inputs the PhD intern requires from Worley in order to progress the work.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS

The intern will receive $3,000 per month of the internship, usually in the form of stipend payments.

It is expected that the intern will primarily undertake this research project during regular business hours, spending at least 80% of their time on-site with the industry partner. The intern will be expected to maintain contact with their academic mentor throughout the internship either through face-to-face or phone meetings as appropriate.

The intern and their academic mentor will have the opportunity to negotiate the project’s scope, milestones and timeline during the project planning stage.
