General Application

Business, Economics and Management

PLEASE NOTE

  • Applications for this opportunity are ongoing with multiple projects available for PhD candidates.

BACKGROUND

APR.Intern is Australia’s only all-sector all-discipline PhD internship program, connecting PhD students with industry through short-term research placements.

Industry demand for PhD students remains strong, and all PhD students currently enrolled at an Australian university, are encouraged to submit an APR.Intern expression of interest.

In the application students will have the option of submitting a profile to be advertised on our website and promoted to industry partners with the goal of creating an internship. Our industry partners include businesses of all sizes, from start-ups and SMEs through to government agencies and national corporations. See some of the businesses we work with here.

Students in the APR.Intern database will be screened and contacted for suitable projects when Industry Partners are searching for candidates.

If a short-term industry research placement sounds of interest, please submit an expression of interest via the application button and include why you would like to complete an internship.

To view current internship opportunities, please check under the ‘Available Internships’ tab.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS

The intern will receive $3,000 per month of the internship, usually in the form of scholarship payments.

It is expected that the intern will primarily undertake this research project during regular business hours and maintain contact with their academic mentor throughout the internship either through face-to-face or phone meetings as appropriate.

The intern and their academic mentor will have the opportunity to negotiate the project’s scope, milestones and timeline during the project planning stage.
