UNIVERSITY SUBSCRIPTION MODEL

An uncapped annual subscription model is now available for universities looking to engage in a larger number of PhD and Masters by Research internships.

Subscription pricing has been designed with equity in mind, based on a university’s PhD cohort size and aligning with the Australian Council of Graduate Research (ACGR)’s member categories – outlined below.

A pro-rata rate is available for 2022.

University PhD Cohort Size

APR.Intern Annual Fee

No. of Internships Included

< 1000 students $20,000 Unlimited
1000-2000 students $40,000 Unlimited
2000+ students $60,000 Unlimited

AMSI MEMBER DISCOUNT

AMSI membership benefits, and the number of free internships a Member receives, will be factored into the university’s annual subscription cost. This will be done through a discount equal to the Member’s free non-mathematical sciences internship benefit.

For example, AMSI Full Members receive five free internships per year, therefore an immediate discount of $15,000 will be given – lowering the annual subscription cost from $60,000 to $45,000.

This discount will be applied according to the university’s level of AMSI membership.

AMSI Membership Type Mathematical Sciences Internships included in AMSI Membership Non-Mathematical Sciences Internships included in AMSI Membership APR.Intern

Large Associate Unlimited 3 $9,000
Medium Associate Unlimited 2 $6,000
Small Associate Unlimited 1 $3,000

CUSTOM INTERNSHIP DISCOUNT

If the university brings an industry partner and student, or an industry partner brings a university partner and student, these custom internships will attract a $5,000 contribution from APR.Intern towards the industry partner costs. This lowers the industry cost of a 3-month internship from $20,000 to $15,000.
