Data Warehouse and Big Data
Location: Southport, QLD
Duration: 3 months
Virtual Manager is an Australian tech company with a growing client base in Australia, the USA and the UK. The USA is currently undergoing strong growth in the health sector, with the systems collecting operational data on cleaners and their activities.
While the operational reporting included in the system has allowed for performance improvements to be made, it is believed that management of teams, hospitals and networks of hospitals can be further improved through introduction of scientific methodologies and the analytics of the data being collected. The introduction of related data sources, such as weather etc should enable predictive modelling to further increase the benefits of the system and introduce extra value at all levels.
Virtual Manager is therefore looking for a data scientist that can work with the development team, the implementation team and the sales team to implement a mature supportable Microsoft Power BI offering.
Research to be Conducted
Virtual Manager is looking for a mature supportable Microsoft Power BI offering to complement its operational offering. None of the Virtual Manager resources are data scientists or data warehousing specialists the so the actual project scope and implementation approach will be arrived at through consultation with the successful applicant.
The project will focus on the following objectives:
- Candidate reviews the current Microsoft Power BI offering
- Candidate creates a phased plan for the future Microsoft Power BI offering and presents this to
the executive team and product manager
- Future phases are implemented by the candidate and development team (if required).
Since the current technology stack is Microsoft Azure based it is anticipated that the BI offering will also be hosted under Microsoft Azure and will fit into the same deployment and management plans as is currently utilized by Virtual Manager.
